I'm currently wearing princess Band-Aids on my fingertips (Elsa, Ariel, and Cinderella). So that's how THAT is going.
I ordered classical nylon strings with ball-ends. At best, the strings will sound "folksy" and be a lot easier to press. At worst, it will sound like a child's toy guitar and I'll have to go back to steel, but it's worth a shot. (See: princess Band-Aids.)
Enormous frustration over not sliding around from an A to an E. It can't be done with the A clump. So very clumpy. Resetting between these chords is a 90 second process. I'm reminding myself that complete idiots play the guitar. This isn't an oboe. I've constructed a practice guitar using a car seat pillow and rubber bands for frets.
Practice time: 1 hour
Chords: A, E
